Wedding FAQs

Q:  Do you travel for weddings?

A:  Yes!  I love seeing new places, and am available to travel anywhere to shoot your wedding.

Q:  How do I book my wedding with you?

A:  To reserve your wedding date I require a signed contract and a deposit of 50% of your package price to hold your wedding date. The remaining balance won’t be due until after you receive your wedding images, so there’s nothing to worry about on the day of the wedding.

Q:  What kind of equipment do you use?

A:  I use Nikon professional-grade equipment and backup equipment, including cameras, lenses, flashes and a portable lighting setup.

Q:  Do you have a second photographer?

A: I do not have a full-time second photographer. However, if you’re looking for a two-person team to shoot your wedding, I have a network of photographer friends that I’m able to hire as second shooters, so long as they are available.

Q:  How long does it take to receive my images?

A:  Your images will be ready to view online within 30 days of your wedding date.

Q:  Will we receive the image files (digital negatives) from our wedding?

A:  Yes, you will receive your final edited images on a DVD with a printing release that allows you to print your images however you’d like. Your images will also be uploaded to an online gallery, which is great for friends and family who may also want to order prints.

Q:  How many images will we receive from our wedding?

A:  I get asked this question a lot, and the truth is, there’s no good answer for it. Usually wedding clients receive several hundred images, but every wedding is different. The size of your bridal party, number of guests, detail of decorations can all contribute to the number of images. I make it my mission to capture all those special moments, and will make sure that the body of work you receive tells the story of your wedding day.

Q:  What should we wear to our engagement session, and should we bring more than one outfit?

A:  I always tell my clients to just be themselves! Wear what is comfortable and natural to you. Don’t worry too much about matching exactly. Instead, focus on colors that work great with your skintone, or great textures and fabrics that will make for interesting photos. As for wardrobe changes, an engagement session lasts for about an hour, so if you’d like to do a quick change within that time frame, that is completely up to you!
