Liz Dwenger Photography portrait studio is now open!
Today is an exciting day for me! I have been working really hard on a big project, and it’s finally time for me to unveil my masterpiece… my portrait studio! With my husband’s help, I’ve converted our would-be formal living room into a bright and open portrait space. With a separate entrance for clients, it sits on the west end of our house, along with my office and a half bath for wardrobe changes. Even though a lot of my blood, sweat and tears have gone into this baby, I am beyond grateful to continue pursuing a career that I love, and give God all the glory for continuing to bless me in this way. As a grand-opening special, I’m offering a limited number of studio mini-sessions for just $39, which includes a 30 minute session and two 5×7 prints (for sessions now through March 31st, a $75 value). Email me today to schedule your session!
In other news, Liz Dwenger Photography is proud to be an official vendor of The Organic Bloom custom frames. These puppies are absolutely gorgeous, and come in lots of fabulous shapes and colors. And starting today, you can enter to win a 6×6 or 5×7 framed print (choice of in-stock frames, up to a $70 value).
Clients who take advantage of the $39 studio mini-session will have two chances to win:
1. Every client who schedules a studio session between now and March 31st will automatically be entered to win. A random winner will be drawn on April 1st.
2. Beginning April 1st, my favorite image from each February and March studio session will be entered into a one-week Facebook contest. The image with the most ‘likes’ will win the second frame.
Both ways of entering require that you ‘like’ my Facebook page, because that’s where I’ll announce the winners. So be sure to head over and give me some love! And that’s not all… I’ll be giving away lots of goodies via Facebook in the next couple months, so stay tuned!

Ideal-Images.net, I bid you “Adieu.” | Dayton Ohio Photography
Today I officially become the proud parent of a shiny, new website! About a year ago, after listing my services in a regional bridal magazine, I found myself desperately needing a web presence. As a part-time photographer, I had no money set aside for a fancy, newfangled, flash site, complete with witty blog, that many other pro photogs were sporting. So I bit the bullet, bought a domain name and some hosting, and forced myself to learn Dreamweaver. I figured out how to get a couple of galleries running and put my contact info out into cyberspace for potential clients, and behold: Ideal-Images.net was born!

I knew it wasn’t the ideal solution, but it was within my capabilities at the time. I poured my heart and soul into that first clumsy web creation and loved it as my own. But today begins a new era…
With the help of my friends/co-workers at FORGE, I have taken a small, but significant, step into the world of professional-looking photographers’ websites (shout-outs to Ben and Ryan for the stellar WordPress counsel)! The guys at FORGE are experts in utilizing WordPress as a content management system (and making it pretty to boot), and they were generous enough to share their wisdom with me to get LizDwenger.com up and running.
My hope is that LizDwenger.com will be a collection of my work, both professional and personal, as well as updates on recent shoots, thoughts on the industry, and anything else that strikes my fancy! It’s definitely a work in progress, but I’m excited to be sharing my work and thoughts with the world (or at least those interested enough to keep coming back)! So… take your coat off and stay a while!
RIP, Ideal-Images.net …and welcome to the world, LizDwenger.com!
